The speak up campaign is trying to encourage students to use their voice and help make a more positive, safe community. Here at Wichita High School South, we have a program named crime stoppers where students can get cash rewards for tips given. If a student hears, sees, or witnesses a threat and bravely comes to our security they are rewarded for there bravery. The information given is kept as confidential as possible.

South High has one of the best programs keeping our community a safe and positive environment, as well as, assuring the students are able to have fun. When a student comes and sends a tip we do everything we can to make sure it is confidential, and do as we can to solve the matter. The brave student will then have a cash reward such as a gift card or coupons.

If a student is in need of help but they want to stay unknown, there is a speak up hotline and website where students can report incidents anonymously. They can either text to the number (274637) or they can go to the website and fill out a report.

We need students help as much as possible to keep the school a safe and positive environment for everyone. The crime stoppers team are responsible leaders and positive role models not only to the school but themselves and are counting on the student body to help raise money. They have ideas such as raffles, candy grams, rent a senior, rent a parking spot and more.
