This year the band has been working hard from day 1 to ensure that they will once again get straight 1’s at competition. In the band there are 170 students which is a school record. They already have their first song on the field and are ready to set the rest. During band camp they worked on marching basics and even started to memorize their music. The new group of freshman have been working extremely hard and some who have joined only last week have been catching on quickly.

This year we are getting new uniforms, which is a very big deal and everyone is so excited to get rid of the old ones. But they are not ready yet and we are stuck with the old ones until at least October.  The color guard has more members then they did last year they have 15 members this year. The theme of the show is Escape From the Amazon and it will have sophomore color guard member Caitlyn Vaughters run around the field as if she is escaping from the Amazon. On the first football game of the season the superintendent came and visited the band and even helped them by calling them to attention and helping them warm up for their performance.
