The state of the planet as of today is slowly getting worse and worse. We need to come together as a collective community and work as hard as we can to stop the damage from continuing and hopefully someday reverse it.

Here are some ways to be more eco-friendly in your day to day life.

  1. Eat less meat

  2. Use less paper and go electronic

  3. Recycle as much as you possibly can

  4. Use reusable grocery bags instead of plastic bags

  5. Start a compost pile

  6. Switch your lightbulbs to CFL light bulbs (they use less energy and last five times longer)

  7. Use rags instead of paper towels

  8. Reduce the amount of energy you use

  9. Reduce the amount of water you use

  10. Donate your old vehicle to a charity like Wheels for Wishes

  11. Grow your own food

  12. Do not buy food or drinks that are in BPA lined containers

  13. Open your window instead of using the thermostat

  14. Do not leave things on when you are not using them, like TVs or lamps

  15. Get energy efficient appliances

  16. Wash clothes in cold water

  17. Hang your clothes on a clothesline

  18. Do not let your water run when you are doing dishes or brushing your teeth

  19. Only run the dishwasher when there is a full load

  20. Use reusable containers for bulk ingredients

There are many ways you can be eco-friendly and help the earth. It doesn’t just involve recycling and using reusable bags. The earth is deteriorating as we speak and we need to be able to understand the impact we have on the earth and how to take care of it. We do not own the earth, we only belong to it.
