Foreign Exchange Student Interview
South High has our very own TikTok famous foreign exchange student, Gleb from Moldova, and I got the chance to interview with him. Here are those results.
16 year old senior, Gleb, from Moldova, Europe, currently has 163.2K followers and 5.1M likes on the social media platform TikTok. He started his TikTok career last year when he was trying to win his foreign exchange program. He films a new video every other week with social experiments and different facts. He stated he is trying his “first American video this week” by asking different males and females around the school what the most important thing is in a person. His first TikTok video was uploaded July 20th, 2020 and got 49.1K views within 3 days! Search gleb.facts on TikTok to find him.
Another question I asked was, “Did you get to choose to come to Kansas, if so why?” Gleb did not get to choose to come to Kansas but he is enjoying it. He stated he is not excited to return home because “I have made many friends and I know it will be hard to say goodbye to them.” He returns home to Moldova in May after the graduation ceremony. He has not visited many places in Kansas but his favorite place he has visited by far is the Sedgwick County Zoo. He said he would definitely come back if he ever gets the chance.
Finally I asked what he was looking forward to this year, he is looking forward to making new friends, graduation, and he wants to try every sport South offers!
