When a Twitch Streamer was live near our very loved Quick Trip, most likely the one on 31st St, there was this strange man. The man was assumed to be “homeless” and probably on some drugs. He told the Streamer that there were tunnels under the bridge, and to never go down there. The Bridge is the John Mack. What’s down there? Is it even real? The Clip of this stream would go viral over TikTok, and many locals came across it. People have been asking the streamer to go explore the tunnels. He came near the tunnels at least twice, but he has always backed out. This has caused many locals who are interested in the tunnels to go explore on their own which is definitely not safe, as the guy looked scared, or maybe it was the drugs, who knows.
Many people in the comments were giving their ideas as to where the tunnels may be or where they may start. Some say: Under the Douglas Street Bridge near Century II, At Riverside by the Indian Statue, South Broadway Bridge. One user said, “Do not go in the tunnels you will not come back if you go too far there are actually people living under there it’s dangerous”
There are rumors of a tunnel connecting the Broadview Hotel to the Delano Neighborhood, which may have been used for bootleggers to move liquor during Prohibition. Well, I have the answer to this specific tunnel… it is.. indeed real. There is a video on YouTube, uploaded years ago under the user, Deanna Summers, titled Broadview Hotel. It features the hotel’s sales manager of the Broadview hotel, she shows an entrance into the tunnel and says that they had found old liquor bottles. She shows another tunnel, and says “That was supposedly a tunnel that led to the river”
The tunnel that the man at Quick Trip had talked about was under a bridge. According to. https://www.city-data.com/ It is said that there are 786 bridges in Wichita, even though the Bridge, John Mack is speculated to be the one the man was talking about, it would be safe to say out of all the 786 bridges there has to be at least some more tunnels. What do you think, is there really a tunnel under the Bridge? How many tunnels are out there that we don’t know about? You might have driven right over one and you didn’t even know it.
