Iconic fashion designer, American entrepreneur, and visionary Virgil Abloh has passed away due to cancer at age 41. Abloh’s death was due to a rare, and aggressive form of cancer called cardiac angiosarcoma. Abloh’s death was announced November, 28th. Abloh was the artistic director of Louis Vuitton, and founder of Off-White. Abloh is known for his entrepreneurial accomplishments and being a devoted husband, committed father, and caring friend. Abloh not only left a significant footprint of the fashion world, as well as music. Abloh left his mark on rap culture, befriending some of the largest names while also befriending up and coming artists. The immense legacy Abloh has as a trail-blazing fashion will also live on through Off-White, his children Grey and Lowe Abloh, his wife Shannon Abloh, and the artists he befriended. Showing off a Louis Vuitton men’s collection on November 30th, the show was named Virgil Was Here, after Abloh.
