The official trade deadline is February 9th (3pm ET). The Nets have agreed to trade Kyrie Irving and Markieff Morris to the Mavericks for 2 players(Spencer Dinwiddle and Dorian Finney-Smith) and 3 draft picks in the future(2027 2nd round pick, 2029 1st round pick, and 2029 2nd round pick . The Nets are also interested in other deal like that of Toronto Raptors Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby. The lakers wanted Kyrie, Lebron was disappointed. “I can’t sit here and say I’m not disappointed on not being able to land such a talent, but someone I had great chemistry with” he says. In Irving’s first press conference as a member of the Mavericks he says “I want to be places I’m celebrated and not just kind of tolerated or just kind of dealt with in a way that makes me feel respected”.
