In the game Rain World, as mentioned many times prior, has multiple different slug cats that have their own ‘campaigns’, or stories, that you can play. Nightcat, however, is a really old slug cat dating to before Rain World’s 1.5 update where Monk was added. As of March 28th, however, a new DLC has been announced as shown on Akupara Games’ Youtube channel and Discord server.
The Watcher is a DLC that is soon to come to Rain World, and shockingly it brings back Nightcat. After ages of the community missing the emo version of survivor, finally, it is going to play a role again. A lot of people have started to spectate, saying stuff such as that they may have an invisible ability or that they will find completely new iterators. Whilst agreed upon, it’s also felt that they could just have dark areas to camouflage and they will have to duck and weave through new regions nobody will know for awhile.
It’s also unknown if they will have a void pool found for their ending, because on Rain World most campaigns have a void sea ending, yet for Nightcat it is very unknown if they will or not because it is very cryptic on how Nightcat will be like, yet from what I’ve seen it looks extremely good. With that though, it is certain to be a fun campaign just as all of the others are.
