As of September 19th of 2024, Rain World’s creators Akupara Games have released the date that their new DLC The Watcher will release. If you don’t know what Rain World is, it is an animal survival video game where you play as a little creature called a slugcat and you try to survive the dangers of the wild.
Rain World is on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. As from VideoCult’s actual Youtube account, Rain World: The Watcher | Ripple Trailer was uploaded and Rain World: The Watcher | Launch Date Announcement Trailer from Akupara Games’ YouTube. As well as that, in the official Discord server Riv Otter, someone working to create Rain World, announced “If you were watching the Six One Indie Showcase you would have seen that Rain World: The Watcher will be coming out on March 28th!”
This meaning that by 2025 Rain World’s Watcher will be releasing, and will be around one year of work. There has also been other teaser videos to it, teasing the music to come. There’s Rain World: The Watcher | Windchime, and one dubbed Consdier from a hidden message found inside of it. From all I have seen of Rain World’s Watcher mod, it will be using a lot of former mod regions and some new ones, which will be a whole new place to explore.
It’s bound to bring more creatures into Rain World as well, and will be an experience to remember for sure. If your interested in getting it when it comes out, the Watcher‘s link will be attached. Overall Rain World Watcher will be a very interesting DLC to Rain World, adding much more to the already packed game which will make it feel all the more real, and will make some modded in regions and make them all the more canon.
