The Harry Potter IP is large and it continues to grow with the new video game Hogwarts Legacy.
Hogwarts Legacy has a set release date of February 10th, 2023 and is called an immersive, open-world, action-roleplay game. The official synopsis according to radiotimes.com article says, “Experience Hogwarts in the 1800s. Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. Make allies, battle Dark wizards and decide the fate of the wizarding world.”
Harry Potter video games have been developing for almost 22 years and the first was a companion game for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Prices and associated consoles according to primagames.com are including Standard Edition for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $59.99. Deluxe Edition for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $69.99. Standard Edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X for $69.99. Deluxe Edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X for $79.99.
Early reviews are in and they are good signs. An 86 on Metacritic and IGN U.S. giving it a 9, Hogwarts Legacy is shaping up to be popular amongst established and non-established fans alike with positive story, graphics, and mechanics reviews.
