The Dallas Cowboys’ first touchdown of the game against the New York Giants on Sunday night was scored hours before the game, seven miles east of MetLife Stadium. Cowboys special teams ace C.J. Goodwin spoke his wisdom to Juanyeh Thomas.
New York went down to the field with ease in the opening minutes, running the ball right past Cowboys defenders. It was 16-0 Cowboys. Then 23-0. Then, 30-0. 33-0. And finally, 40-0. The Giants were shut out for the first time since 2018, when they finished the season 5-11. This game was crazy.
This year the Cowboys have been on top so far and will hopefully remain that distance and keep the good work up, still as of now the cowboys lead the NFC east and will hopefully make it to the playoffs.
Daniel Jones and the Giants’ offense, limiting the fifth-year quarterback to nine completions through three quarters and sacking him seven times. Jones threw two interceptions, and coach Brian Daboll wanted to see after going all the way to the divisional round last season.
Quarterback Daniel Jones completed just 15 of his 28 pass attempts for 104 scoreless yards. Edge defender Dorance Armstrong was the standout, producing two sacks and six hurries from 16 pass-rush snaps. The rookie Donte Banks was targeted multiple times and even force an incomplete pass.
This game was a reminder that the Giants still aren’t on the Cowboys’ level.
