World War 3 hoax

In the beginning of January there were rumors and memes being made about a World War 3. This was because on January 3, 2020 the U.S drone strike shot near the Baghadad International Airport and killed Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). This lead to Iran wanting revenge on the U.S which was rumored to be a World War.

Coronavirus Outbreak

On January 7 Chinese authorities identified a new virus which is the Novel Coronavirus and it became a global sensation. Coronaviruses are zoonotic which mean they come from animals. They usually don’t pass on to humans but this one did. It’s now March and there have been 95,067 cases and 3,249 deaths because of the Coronavirus. There have been around 99 cases in the U.S and about 10 deaths, and the numbers are expected to go up.

Kobe’s death

On January 26, 2020 Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant and his 13 year old daughter Gianna along with 7 others died in a plane crash going to a youth basketball tournament. Many people could not believe that NBA superstar Bryant was dead and thought it was fake news but once the news became nationwide many fans were devastated. Some say the plane crash was planned and wanted to direct the attention elsewhere then on the global government issues. Nonetheless we lost an NBA superstar that had just retired to spend time with his family.
