Childhood isolation

Social behavior is crucial for childhood development as this includes how someone feels and how they are influenced. When this is subtracted from the equation, socializing and mental well being can be detrimental to one’s health.

At age five, 9% of children were highly isolated and 14% were moderately isolated. This can cause the individual to have effects such as: lack of social skills, brain structure and development, sense of danger and an active stress response.
