SuperSAC held its first meeting of the 2022-2023 school year on August 31st, where the “Ideal Teacher” was discussed.
SuperSAC is a group organized by the superintendent (That’s the “Super” in “SuperSAC”), in which two students from every high school come together to discuss issues prevalent in the district. Then, in each Board of Education meeting, a representative or two from SuperSAC goes in front of the board and reports what was talked over
In this session, the Idea Teacher was the topic. Ideas about who a teacher should be, their personality, how they handle students and their subject, etc were shared as everyone participated in creating posters that would reflect these qualities, which were taken to be shown and distributed amongst principals.
