Nintendo Direct and everything important revealed.

On the 13th of September, the Nintendo Direct was livestreamed on YouTube and it revealed over 20+ games that are either being ported to the Nintendo Switch or whole new games in general that will be on multiple platforms (including the Nintendo Switch.)

  1. Pikmin 4/Pikmin Bloom

Pikmin is a real-time strategy and puzzle in which you control plant-like creatures called Pikmins to solve puzzles, collect items, destroying obstacles, and defeating monsters that are a hazard to the Pikmins and the Player themselves. Shigeru Miyamoto (the creator of the Pikmin series) also revealed a Pikmin mobile game called Pikmin Bloom that is similar to Pokémon GO where you can walk around in the real world to collect Pikmin, feed them, and possibly you will be able to fight monsters too. Fun Fact: It has been 9 years since Pikmin 3 released on July 13, 2013. Pikmin 4 is scheduled to release sometime in 2023 but a specific release date has not been revealed.

2. Fire Emblem Engage

Fire Emblem is a fantasy tactical role-playing game with grid based movement and combat and is more designed after traditional role-playing games made in the 90s and 2000s. What makes Fire Emblem unique is the character system, where if a character dies in battle, they are lost forever and are unable to be used in combat ever again, this option is known as classic mode but there is also a casual mode where characters will just be revived after a battle if they die. In Fire Emblem Engage, a dragon has returned after being defeated by four heroes 1000 years ago and now it is wreaking havoc on the world and now some new heroes are needed in order to defeat this dragon and save the world. Fun Fact: Two characters from the Fire Emblem series were added to Smash Bros Melee in 2001, the characters were Marth and Roy. Fire Emblem Engage is set to release on January 20th 2023.

3. The Legends of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Saving the best for last, the sequel to The Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has finally been announced and the hype for it is absolutely insane. It has been nearly 5 years since the last Zelda game and fans have been waiting for anything regarding the series. There is not a lot of information regarding Tears of the Kingdom as Nintendo has been doing a good job of not giving out too many details about the game so that leaves a lot to be discovered at release. Thankfully we do have a release date which is May 12th 2023. That is all I can confirm for now but expect a future story when we have more details about the game.
