My AFC/NFC Championship Game Predictions
My Superbowl prediction went horribly wrong. There were so many upsets like the Chargers and Jags Game. I predicted the Bills to win the Superbowl and obviously, they couldn’t pass by Joe Burrow and the Bengals. But on the NFC side, I predicted almost everything except the Vikings losing to the Giants. And the Bucs lost to the Cowboys. But all of that is set aside for the final 4 to win to go to the Superbowl. Let’s hope my predictions are good this time.
I’ll start with the NFC side since the game does start first at 2 pm ET on SUN, Jan. 29. Eagles host the 49ers in Philly. With Jalen Hurts going crazy in his 2nd year. They beat the Giants 38-7. Last time they beat a team 38-7 in the playoffs they won the Superbowl with Nick Foles. The 49ers did beat the Cowboys. It was a defensive game, the final score being 19-12. But Brock Purdy didn’t throw any interceptions as Dak did. Fun Fact, Brock Purdy has the same amount of playoff wins as Dak Prescott. And he’s a rookie. I see Brock Purdy being the 49ers starting QB if they beat the Eagles and he brings them to the Superbowl. And that’s my prediction, I see the 49ers going to the Superbowl with a rookie QB. I know that’s kind of a stretch but he’s going to make history. Oh let’s not forget, it’s going to be an offensive shootout.
Now the AFC game. Starting after the NFC Championship at 6:30 ET., Joe Burrow and Mahomes meet up again for the 4th time in 2 years and 2 times in the AFC Championship. Joe Burrow is 3-0 against Mahomes. Joe Burrow is the only QB to beat Mahomes 3 consecutive times. Only he and Tom Brady beat Mahomes 3 times, he has been in the league for 6 years!! And the Bengals beat the chiefs by 3 points every time they played. Could we see Joe Burrow in the Superbowl? Or do we see Mahomes in the Superbowl? Mahomes and the Chiefs went against the Jags during the divisional round being them 27-20. With Mahomes injured and using 1 leg. Joe Burrow and the Bengals sweep the Bills 27-10. Joe Burrow was just chilling the whole time. After the game they interview Joe. They said “Thoughts on tickets being sold for a Bills/Chiefs neutral site AFC Championship?” He replied, “Better send those refunds.” Fun Fact, Mahomes made it to the AFC Championship every year he started. 5 years in a row.. They all were hosted at home in Arrowhead. But he’s 2/4, losing to the Tom Brady Patriots in OT. But won against the Titans and went on to win the Superbowl. Won against the Bills, but lost to Tom Brady and the Bucs. And last year..lost to Joe Burrow. Obviously, these are going to be the most explosive Championship games. But I cannot see Mahomes letting this one slip, so I got my Chiefs beating Joe Burrow. (I hope I’m right)
