On February 17, 2023, a shooting broke out between two groups of minors while at a party wounding 9 children at a Columbus Georgia, gas station police announced on February 10. They soon identified the suspect as 35-year-old D’Angelo Robinson and an unnamed 15-year-old male.
After identifying both suspects police charged Robinson with eight counts of aggravated assault while the teen suspect was charged with one count of aggravated, other charges still pending.
It is unsure what led to the altercation or how it led to gunfire at the gas station. However, the wounded children were treated for their injuries which were not life-threatening according to the department. Police announced that the oldest person wounded was 17 years old and the youngest was a 5-year-old boy.
