Boy bands, a phase we all went through. There are MANY to speak on, but not all are iconic, here are some that will go down in history as the best of the best.
#1) Backstreet Boys
The Backstreet Boys, a group that was born on April 20, 1993, with the help of Lou Pearlman and producer Lil’ Shy. Members include, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell Kevin Richardson. Their career took off in the early 2000’s when their song “We’ve Got It Goin’ On” was released which was also their first ever song. As far the group still being together some members left for personal reasons, but have come back in recent years.
#2) 5 Seconds of Summer
From what started with 3 boys posting on YouTube and posting covers of songs turned into a 4-member group in 201, that was created by Clifford. This group consists of members, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin. Some of their hit songs are “Youngblood”, “Teeth”, and “She Looks So Perfect.” The band never really broke up but did break apart from their US record label after nearly being signed for nearly a decade. They are still seen together time to time on each others social media.
#3) NSYNC
NSYNC a band that was formed in 1995. Members include, Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick. The Group broke up in 2002 not so long after they released their third album. It was said the reason for the break up was because of internal conflicts and wanting to go solo. But recently they have reunited at the VMAS 2023 so who knows?
#4) One Direction
One Direction, a group that was created on The X Factor in 2010. They each originally auditioned solo, that was until Simon Cowell who said it took him 10 minutes to put them together. Some of their most popular songs are “What Makes You Beautiful”, “Story of My Life”, and “Best Song Ever” are some of their most liked from fans. The group however, went their sperate ways in 2016 after releasing their last album “Made in the A.M”. Since then there has always been theories when or if the group is getting back together.
#5) The Beatles
The OGs, The Beatles a band that started in the 1960s. Their career took off when their number one hit “Please, Please Me”, reached top of British charts in February 1963. Members are John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The band however split for multiply reasons such as personal issues, musical differences, and the death of their manager. Sadly, John Lennon and George Harrison have passed Lennon from assassination and Harrison from a battle with cancer. Although they have passed, and it’s been a long time it is nice to know they made history in the music industry.
