There are many haunted places all around the world. As we are getting closer to spooky season, we should dive into the Top 3 most Haunted Places in Kansas.

Sallie House

Sallie House located in Atchison Kansas, was built between 1886-1887 and was named after a young girl named Sallie. It is rumored that she is the ghostly presence haunting the house. A local lore, says Sallie never actually lived in the house but instead died there after a failed operation for appendicitis. The house belonged to a physician who had an office at the home. A mother brought her 6 year old daughter, Sallie to the house, for her pain in her stomach. The physician diagnosed Sallie with appendicitis, and he immeditaly started performing surgery on her. However, he started his surgery before the effects of the anesthesia kicked in. She died on the surgery table. In 1993, the house was rented to a young couple. Fires started to break out and so did sinister attacks on the husband. The husband reported objects visibly moving when he got near the operating room, and reported that he could feel scratches on his chest and abdomen. The ghost didnt attack the wife or the baby.
