Jojo Siwa was once a young star known for the show Dance Moms until she made the decision to leave half way through season six, loved by young girls is now shuned the those girls today. 18 year old star, Jojo Siwa, was recently canceled by gen z on numerous accounts. It all started in January of 2021, when Jojo first came out as a member of the LGBTQ+. Siwa received both positive and negative backlash from the public. Some were happy, while some were outrage. People have claimed to believe this is the reason she was excluded in 2022 from the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice. Siwa has stated the reason she was not there was because she didn’t receive an invite. Nickelodeon said it was just an error in the system, but some say it was due to the cutback on the audience numbers caused by COVID. This was just one of a few different reason how Siwa has fell off the top.
Plagiarizing A Song?
Karma is a song with many different opinions on it. Some like it and others don’t. Jojo Siwa had spent weeks informing the people of her new song about how those who cheat eventually get their bad karma. Siwa was accused of allegedly stealing the song from Miley Cyrus and Brit Smith. Siwa has declined all allegations. Yet, fans found Smith had originally recorded the song in 2012 and was supposed to be in her album, but the song never made it. Not long after, Brit Smith departed from the music industry. Jojo was also called out for inappropriate dancing. The internet is saying her different choice of dancing is said to very sexual. Many say this is due rubbing her body against another woman in her music video. However, Siwa did give a heads up the it was not very suitable for children. Jojo Siwa had been making it known that her era of her big bows and bright colorful child like clothes is coming to the end. Karma had gave people a big shock, but now people are slowly getting used to it.
Stealing Merch Designs?
Jojo Siwa once again was accused of stealing but this with merchandise instead of a song. On July 12th, Siwa had released a new type of merch very different from her other. Many didn’t think much about the new design, until fans realized how similar the new Jojo merch was to the band Tool‘s album cover. The band has yet to respond, but their fans and audience have made it known how they feel about it. Fan have also called Siwa out for how similar her new look to famous Gene Simmons. Gene Simmons is actually happy and thinks her new look is really cool and quote “Anybody who doesn’t get it is just jealous, period.” Jojo Siwa quite literally said old with the old and in with the new.
