Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are two of the most renowned television shows ever. Breaking Bad, is about a high-school chemistry teacher named Walter White who gets diagnosed with lung cancer. He doesn’t want to leave his wife, son, and unborn daughter behind with nothing when he dies. He partners up with his ex-student, Jesse Pinkman, to make crystal meth in order to save money for his family. The first episode came out on January 20, 2008 and ended on September 29, 2013. There are 62 episodes, spread out into 5 seasons. If you haven’t watched Breaking Bad, you should. Its a masterpiece.
Better Call Saul is about a lawyer, most commonly known as Saul Goodman, yet his real name is Jimmy McGill. It takes place six years before Walter White and his cooking era. It leads up to the events of Jimmy McGill becoming Saul Goodman, goes more in depth into some background characters, and shows what happens after Breaking Bad. Better Call Saul aired on February 8, 2015 and ended on August 15, 2022. There are 6 seasons and 63 episodes. They are both amazing shows that everyone should watch. But which one is better?
In my opinion, I think Better Call Saul is better; I love Breaking Bad, but Better Call Saul covers a lot more of the Breaking Bad Universe, and I just love Saul Goodman.

Breaking Bad: 6 Critics’ Choice Television Awards, 5 TCA Awards, 12 Saturn Awards, and 16 Emmy Awards. Better Call Saul: 3 Critics’ Choice Awards, 3 TCA Awards, 4 Satellite Awards, 1 AFI TV Award, 1 Eddie Award, 1 Peabody Award, and was nominated 53 times for an Emmy but never won.
According, to this it looks like Breaking Bad won… great! Maybe Better Call Saul can beat Breaking Bad at something else.
Which one has the higher ratings? Starting off with Breaking Bad, it looks like it has 4.8 stars. Not bad. Better Call Saul has 4.9 stars! Still, it should be a 5 star, but it looks like Better Call Saul won!
Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are both tied with one win. Since they are both tied, there needs to be a tie-breaker. Which one is more popular on Netflix? Both shows aired on AMC, but they’re all on Netflix as well. Breaking Bad has a total of 505,000,000 hours watched. Better Call Saul has a total of 295,500,000 hours watched. Breaking Bad is the winner.
I’m not sure if people are just rewatching Breaking Bad everyday or what, but that’s a lot of hours. I’m disappointed that more people didn’t watch Better Call Saul, it’s way better.
