The Chamber Orchestra took grade three piece Concertino by J.B Boismortier to Ensemble Regionals last Saturday afternoon to receive a rating. While being self directed and without any teacher help, they were able to achieve a number 1 rating, which is the highest rating you can get. This means that their technique, tone, intonation, balance, etc. were all above average and even beyond amazing. To play alone as an ensemble is extremely hard, and to earn a 1 is truly exceptional. Going on, the ensemble has the honor to go to State Regionals on April 26th, which is in Topeka. They have the chance to play alongside schools from all over the state, which will be more competitive. Getting a 1 at state will open up a world of opportunities and experiences for them. Having the chance for that is impressive, and the Chamber Orchestra should be very proud of themselves for all their hard work.
