Walt Disney pictures were founded on October 16, 1923, the founder is Ron W. Miller. The company runs worldwide as movies are produced and seen all over the world. The Walt Disney headquarters studios is located in Burbank California and has over 225,000 workers. Every year Walt Disney makes an income of $ 4.97 billion, this year Disney is expected to spend at least $24 billion on producing movies. Looking for some recommendations here are the best Disney movies in my opinion.
1 Moana
The movie Moana was released on November 23, 2016, and was directed by Ron Clements- John Musker. Its set-in ancient Polynesia and follows the story of a daughter named Moana who is set out on a journey to find a demigod named Maui. Maui needs to return the heart to Te Fiti to save her people. Overall Moana is my favorite Disney movie; I love the soundtracks and the visuals in the movie.
2. Frozen
The movie Frozen was released on November 27, 2013, and was directed by Chris Buck- Jennifer Lee. The movie follows the princesses of Arendelle, Elsa and Anna. Elsa has icy powers and sets of on a journey on her own and Anna starts her own journey with an iceman Kristoff and his reindeer Sven and a friend Olaf to help find her sister Elsa. Frozen was my favorite when I was a little kid because I loved the song “Let it go”.
3. Tangled
Tangled was released on November 24, 2010, and was directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard. The story follows a young princess with magical long blonde hair who yearns to leave her secluded tower. There was an intruder Flynn Rider who later helps her adventure her out into the real world. I haven’t watched Tangled as many times as I have as Moana but it’s still one of my favorites.
4. Lion King
The Lion King was released on June 24, 1944, and was directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff. The lion king follows a story of a young lion named Simba who flees his kingdom when his father, king Mufasa is murdered by his uncle Scar. Later after Simba grows up in exile he later returns to his kingdom to get the throne back from his uncle Scar. The lion king was one of my favorite movies growing up and I watched it constantly on repeat.
5. Toy Story
Toy story was released on November 22, 1995, and was directed by John Lasseter. The movie is about a group of toys who come to life the main character is a cowboy whose name is Woody and his best friend space action cadet Buzz lightyear who Woody develops jealousy for after their owner Andy a little kid starts to like Buzz lightyear more than Woody. Overall, there are 4 Toy story movies that follow the story of woody. Overall toy story is a really good movie and entertains a lot of younger crowds but personally toy story isn’t my very first option.
Overall Disney movies are one of my favorite movies to watch in my free time, I really recommend watching some on your own free time!
