The T.V. Show of the Week for February 22nd-28th is Fresh Off The Boat. Fresh Off the Boat is an American situation comedy series starring Randall Park, Constance Wu, Ian Chen, Hudson Yang, and Forrest Wheeler that is inspired by the life of chef and food personality Eddie Huang and his book Fresh Off the Boat: A Memoir. It is the first American television situation comedy starring an Asian-American family as protagonists since Margaret Cho’s All American Girl, which aired for one season in 1994. Its style is akin to the comedy series Everybody Hates Chris. The show debuted with two preview episodes on February 4, 2015, right after all new episodes of The Middle and Modern Family and took place of The Goldbergs and Black-ish time slots at 8:30/7:30c and 9:30/8:30c respectively. The second episode which aired after Modern Family was promoted as a bonus episode and formally premiered in its prime time slot on February 10, 2015. The first of the two preview episodes garnered 7.94 million viewers, becoming the second highest rated comedy premiere this season. The second episode was watched by 7.56 million viewers.
