Adam Driver was born in San Diego, California on November 19, 1983. He was raised in Mishawaka, where he attended Mishawaka High School. He got involved and appeared in plays at his high school. He enlisted in the Marines after 9/11, where he served for more than two years before being medically discharged because of an injury, which prevented him from being deployed.
After this, Driver moved to study drama at Juilliard School and that’s where he graduated in 2009. He began acting in plays, appearing on Broadway, before being cast in the series Girls (2012). The role gained him attention, and he appeared in small roles in J. Edgar (2011) and Lincoln (2012). He also appeared doing supporting roles in Frances Ha (2012) and Inside Llewyn Davis (2013). After doing these small roles he moved onto being Kylo Ren in the Star Wars movie saga beginning with Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015), Paterson (2016), Logan Lucky (2017), The Report (2019), and Marriage Story (2019). He was nominated in the Academy Awards for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role and Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role.
Driver hates listening to or watching himself in his own movies, saying in 2015 that he can “drive myself and the other people around me crazy with the things I wanted to change or I wish I could change.”
Into his personal life, Driver has a wife Joanne Tucker. She is known for her part in The Report (2019), Give or Take (2020) and Gayby (2012). Driver and his wife have a son together who they kept private from the press for two years. Driver, his wife, and his son all live in Brooklyn with their dog Moose who is a rescued pit bull-Rottweiler mix.
