Kid’s shows, who hasn’t watched them? There are many great kids’ shows out there, many of which come from the beloved PBS network. Though there are a few that stand out above the rest. These shows are not only entertaining, but they also teach valuable lessons. Just like the parents like.
Martha Speaks is a show where a dog, Martha, eats alphabet soup that travels to her brain allowing her to speak English. What kid didn’t like the idea of a talking dog? Martha Speaks is a vocabulary-building TV show targeted toward Pre-K through 2nd graders. Regardless don’t feel shame for re-watching it all in 2 weeks during the summer as someone well above that age. Most people in the show aren’t very fazed by Martha being a talking dog, so the concept doesn’t get overused. Martha often hangs out with her owner Helen, a 10-year-old girl, her friends, and their other nonspeaking dog, Skits. Most episodes are them goofing off together using the vocab words of the day and it ends with a lesson of some sort, but its so much more. Of course you wouldn’t know until you watch it.
