Child of Light is a game made by Ubisoft back on April 29, 2014. It’s a story-based RPG that is on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox.
In the game you play as a child named Aurora, who is the daughter of the Queen of Light and a Duke of Austria. Her mother fell ill and died when she was young though, so her father had to raise her alone. That is, until he met Cordelia and her daughters. On the day he married her, Aurora got ill and passed away from the real world. Waking up, Aurora is in a fictional land named Lemuria.
In Lemuria, Aurora has to get through the harsh lands her mother once dutifully cared for, seeing how gone and dark it is. The main mission of the game is to defeat the darkness that overcame Lemuria, even if it hurts yourself or your kin to do. She meets several characters along the way to help her such as Rubella, Igniculus, Tristis, and Óengus.
After awhile she encounters her older step-sister, Nora, who seems to help her until they get to the castle. Then, Aurora is betrayed and has to fight her step-family.
Overall if this game is of interest, it’s highly recommended to play. It has gorgeous landscapes, fascinating creatures, a catchy story, and gorgeous music. It’s something to not be left to rot, and in total is a game that, while the community is silent and it’s rather a forgotten game, it’s still worth-while and fun to play.
