Today I bring you a ranking of my top 3 for resident evil. All the ones the game developers have released are good overall and there’s no bad RE games, I’m only going to be ranking 3 out of the 8 mainline ones.
#1) Resident Evil Biohazard
Released in 2017, in RE:7 You play as Ethan winters who searches for his lost wife. In this game you go solving puzzles and fight monsters. Biohazard explores themes of cannibalism and survival. In my opinion this is the most graphic and haunting resident evil game I’ve ever played. The only problem I have with the game is that its puzzles were too generic and not challenging enough.
#2) Resident Evil 2: Remake
Released in 2019, RE:2 is a remake of the 1998 version, set in Raccoon City. You have a choice to play either Leon S. Kennedy who is a police officer rookie or Claire Redfield as they fight their way through a zombie outbreak. You’ll overcome hordes of zombies all while searching for Claires brother, Chris Redfield. You’ll also encounter other characters.
#3) Resident Evil Village
Released in 2021, in RE:8 You play once again as Ethan winters who searches for his daughter Rosemary who was kidnapped by Chris Redfield. Ethan is taken to a snow filled village in Europe where he must fight Vampires, Lycans, dolls, and many more creatures to save his child. While I would put this on #1 for my top, it would only be for the amazing graphics and characters. The story line was good but there’s many more games with much more to offer.
