Last night in Nashville, Tennessee 5.16 million people watched the Country Music Awards, according to Nielson, and 521% surge from last year. Both of the numbers include both viewers who watched it live on CBS including Paramount Plus.
The 2022 edition of the awards saw viewership skyrocket easily outdrawing last year’s audience when the show was hired on CMT. It’s marked the broadcast debut of the show, and it’s available to more limited audience and it was hired on cable. CMT is available on over 90 million households, while over-the-air network CBS is available on 30 million more.
