Since 1999, Family Guy has been on air and running smoothly. Throughout controversy and cancellation Family Guy created a strong and loyal fanbase. Recently however the fans have been using the show to gain their own form of fame on TikTok. TikTok is the social media platform that just continues to grow in popularity and outreach. As of late, users on the platform have been using clips from Family Guy paired along with video game gameplay (to avoid copyright striking) have swept the platform. These videos have garnered their own cult following and niche community behind it. Versions of the format have become known as the scary Family Guy clips where the video plays as normal till a frightening image and loud sound ends it abruptly. Other versions include clips that go as normal till and edited Peter Griffin impression says something obscene. This format is also popular with the “TikTok editing community” where they start the video off with a family guy clip video and then it gets cut short with a film or tv edit. The format has also grown past being just Family Guy and includes an ongoing list with shows like American Dad, The Cleveland Show, Futurama, The Simpsons, Rick and Morty, South Park and so many more.
