“1,000 Ib Sisters” is a reality TV show that shares the weight loss journey of Amy and Tammy Slaton. In the begging Amy weighed 406 pounds and Tammy weighed around 608 pounds. They had a lot of ups and downs in there journey, Tammy especially. Amy’s purpose of getting the weight loss surgery was so she could get pregnant and start a family with her husband Michael Halterman. Tammy’s reason was so she could live longer because the weight she was at was very dangerous. In the first season Amy does end up getting the gastric bypass surgery but does end up endangering herself by not sticking to the post-op diet as needed. Tammy found a love interest, Jerry who she met years ago online in a Big Beautiful woman (BBW) group chat. Seeking support from her boyfriend, but didn’t find any because he was attracted the how big she was. Tammy said she was a SSBBW- Super sized big beautiful women. Months later toward the end of the season the sisters revealed they’re changes to the family. Amy got the surgery and tammy weigh at 500 pounds. Keep in mind they’re can be a lot of drama that escalates throughout the show between the family.
Recap of Season Two: We get introduced to Misty who is Amy and Tammy’s older sister. 4 months after Amy gets the surgery she finds out she is pregnant! Her doctor, Dr. Eric Smith was a little disappointed that she got pregnant so soon because she is not fully recovered from the surgery and could affect the surgery. Dr. Smith warns her that it’s going to be a difficult pregnancy. Tammy’s brother Chris joined Tammy on the weight loss journey so she wasn’t alone. Tammy’s weight soared in a unhealthy way, even with Chris joining her in her journey. Tammy’s boyfriend Jerry decides to come visit, Amy and the family are concerned with his motivates, but the season gets more juicy and the family drama is starting to simmer. Jerry and Tammy’s relationship grows and she becomes more in love with him. Amy and Michael have they’re first child, Gage Deon a beautiful baby boy. Tammy decides to go to rehab to help loss the weight she needs. Amy relieved that she goes to rehab with having to help take care of her all the time especially since she now has a son. But that’d not all.
Recap of Season Three: Tammy decides to go to rehab after her weight spirals out of control. Amy finally get’s to have the life she always wanted without Tammy. Amy loves Tammy but it a lot of work of taking care of her, but unfortunately it was short lived, but Tammy moves out of Amy’s house and moves right next door to her. Tammy decided to leave rehab because she doesn’t like being away from her family. With Chris’s weight loss surgery on the line, he tries to shed the weight he has gained. When they go see they’re doctor Chris is absolutely shocked when Tammy steps on the Scale. Tammy admits she’s had a couple of cheat days since she’s left rehab at her doctors appointment. After Tammy’s bad doctor appointment, Amy and Chris are worried that Tammy’s new man is setting a bad influence on Tammy. More happens in this season.

She soon learns that she’s at serious risk of complications if she doesn’t fix her habits soon. While Tammy is away at rehab her house gets robed and after receiving the bad news, it sends Tammy in a dark place, but that’s not all. Meanwhile Caleb has been not doing so well since Tammy left him back at rehab. Going back to his bad eating habits to cope not being with his wife. Amy wanting to have a night out with her sisters, but the night slowly became chaos and Amy’s marriage completely falls apart. More happens in this season.
