Preparing For Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

There are many ways for you and your family to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

This is a national Holiday so kids and teens don’t have school.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is on the 3rd Monday of January every year. This year it is on January 20th. This is a day that promotes equal rights to all Americans regardless of their background. A struggle against racial segregation and racism. Also known as Martin Luther King’s Birthday.

Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day could be so much fun if you have the right activities planed.

You could BBQ on the grill while having a campfire. In your backyard with your friends, roasting marshmallows to make s’mores. Your dad or brother could be grilling hotdogs and chicken.

The elementary kids make many arts and crafts in their classes. Things like finger paintings of Dove’s, that symbolize peace. They make a lot of pictures of paper dolls holding hands to symbolize multicultural. And there are many peace signs of different colors.
