“Keep the change ya filthy animal” is my favorite part of Christmas. Baking Xmas cookies, putting up the lights and the best part of all, putting up the tree, all the little things that we find so memorable. Like in elementary school when we would have classroom parties before winter breaks start and do cool activities with our friends and teachers.
It’s like a warm hug from the past. Around the holidays, we feel this wonderful comfort because it takes us back to a time when everything was easy and simple. Spending Christmas with our families was such a comforting experience for us. It’s a beautiful reminder of the love and warmth that fills our hearts during this special season. Remembering the joy of childhood traditions, the smell of freshly baked cookies, and the twinkling lights brings back those magical moments. It’s important because it connects us to our roots and reminds us of the love and togetherness that the holiday season brings.
Editors Note: Not to mention the plethora of Christmas specials that are so often associated with the holiday. Or the feeling of burning your tongue because your cocoa was too hot! The joy that fills in you when you see the first snowflake of the season start to fall, just to feel like you have frostbite because you played in it for too long. Walking into a department store and hearing jingles, jangles, and carols the whole time. Or seeing red, white, and green infect the stores decor.
