Joey Jacobsen, the athlete of the week, raced his first 5k of the season and broke his personal record from last season by almost 2 minutes, earning a spot on the varsity team for this weekend’s meet. He won a 7th place medal and lead his team to a 2nd overall team finish in the JV race. Congratulations, Joey!!
Last saturday, the cross country team competed at the Wild Wind Cross Country Festival held at Trinity Academy. The boys’ varsity team placed 4th overall with three runners earning medals. Tony Matsui placed 6th, Ismael Ramirez placed 13th and Isai Ramirez placed 18th. The boys JV team placed 2nd overall and 4 runners earned medals. Joey Jacobsen placed 7th, Jose Mendez placed 8th, Steven Romero placed 12th and Micheal Stafford placed 13th. Congrats, Titans!
