Colored Fentanyl Disguised as Candy Targeting Young Teens
With Halloween coming up, these rainbow-colored pills are a real scare for parents across America. “Rainbow fentanyl—fentanyl pills and powder that come in a variety of bright colors, shapes, and sizes—is a deliberate effort by drug traffickers to drive addiction amongst kids and young adults.” DEA Administrator Anne Milgram warns parents and teens about these dangerous pills.
Fentanyl Is originally used for treating severe pain but has had many misuses and abuse of this drug in America and can be mixed with other drugs to make it look like a prescription drug. This August the DEA warned America about the trend of drug cartels selling highly addictive pills to young people.
This drug can affect how you act overall and can lead to death if too much is taken. Currently, the DEA is relentlessly working to stop the trafficking of rainbow fentanyl and defeat the drug cartels that are responsible for this trend after the DEA and law enforcement found more than 10.2 million fentanyl pills and approximately 980 pounds of fentanyl powder from May 23 through Sept. 8, 2022.
Drug cartels are going to be very active around Halloween seeing it as the perfect time for “rainbow fentanyl”. However, it is best to be aware of what you are putting in your mouth so you can keep your life out of risk.
