The Philadelphia Eagles started off sluggish Thursday night against the Houston Texans, but they were able to eventually gain enough momentum to defeat the Texans and improve to 8-0 for the first time ever.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for 243 passing yards and two touchdowns in the 29 to 17 win. On the defensive side of the ball, C.J. Gardner-Johnson intercepted his league-leading fifth pick.
The Eagles first half looked sloppy at times and the score going into halftime would be 14-14.
After halftime, the Eagles would be looking to build some momentum and that is exactly what they did. Hurts threw a touchdown pass to his number one receiver A.J. Brown to give his team the lead. The Texans were able to add a field goal on the next drive. However, after that, the Eagle’s defense went on to shut down the Texans for the remainder of the game and the Eagles scored another touchdown to put the game away for good.
This win over the Texans would mark Jalen Hurts 11th straight, which is the longest streak in the NFL right now.
