Jared Leto is an American music recording artist, actor, and maybe cult leader attended the 2023 Met Gala with a awe inspiring look (or maybe paw inspiring would be a better choice of words). The Met Gala is known to sport some wild outfits but nothing is more wild than dressing up in full cat garb! Leto did just that and one-upped the other cat themed looks from Doja Cat and Lil Nas X.
The Met Gala theme was “In Honor of Karl” to pay tribute to the late German fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld. While Karl was immensely influential in his own right with his work for several fashion houses and most notably, Chanel. Karl’s Cat, Choupette, has gained a life of her own. Choupette has become famous for living a life of luxury and style. The feline even has her own Instagram @choupetteofficiel, where she announced she will not be attending the Met Gala.
The cat inspired outfits all stem from Choupette and Leto’s is certainly paying respects to the cat. Leto garnered a full body suit designed to look like an anthropomorphic giant Choupette. This look left many on the carpet stunned and amazed at the outlandishness.
