Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Many women don’t realize they have breast cancer till it’s almost too late. On average 1 in 8 women can or already developed breast cancer. The possibility of women dying from breast cancer is 1 in 40. There are many different types of breast cancer, from common cancers to special rare types. the Most common type is Carcinomas, which is a cancer that forms in the Epithelial Tissue. Carcinomas, also known as Adenocarcinoma when formed in the breast, which’s development starts in the cells of one’s milk ducts or the lobules. One of the rarest type of breast cancer is Phyllodes also known as Cystosarcoma Phyllodes, the first symptom usually is a lump in the breast.

Male Breast Cancer

Did you know men can get male breast cancer? Male breast cancer is very rare 1 in 726 men get breast cancer in a their lifetime. Male breast cancer is generally caused by a genetic mutations in a certain gene called BRCA1 and BRCA2.  Male breast cancer is most often diagnosed in men in their 60s. If breast cancer runs in the family, see your doctor so that it can’t escalate further.
