Nova Miller is an 18 year old Swedish rising pop singer who was born into a musical family which will later help her out on the pathway to her music career.
Born as Astrid Fanny Grandström (on July 29, 2001) now known as Nova Miller is a Swedish a singer, dancer, and a multi-instrumentalist. Miller was signed to 21:12 Entertainment after being discovered by the label’s founder, Lolene Everett, at age 12. On June 12, 2015, she released her debut track “Supernova” which reached Spotify’s viral chart. Her follow-up single “Singin in the Rain” released 3 months after. On November 25, 2015, Miller released an original Christmas single “My Perfect Christmas” which was named #13 out of 100 Best Christmas songs in Swedish newspaper Expression.
Miller’s songs have a blend of new school pop with vintage aesthetics, like fluttering strings and harmonies that can be compared to the ’60s era groups like The Mamas & Papas. Nova released a single “Do It To Myself” on October 4, 2019 which she describes as, “a guitar- driven retro bop, but it’s really about the worst form of going crazy: driving yourself crazy!” This single recognizes toxic behavior. In most of her songs the messages behind them might be perceived as dark, but with the retro pop blend it’s not as twisted.
