Demure, one of the most used words in Gen Z culture. Everyone has their own opinion of what is demure and what is not demure. Many people know what demure means but not what is the true meaning behind demure. Demure is defined as reserved, modest, and shy. Gen Z typically uses this word as a form to express when something is respectful, delicate, ect.
Examples of what is “demure” at school:
Being respectful to staff and teacher
Doing your homework
Coming to school on your best behavior
Coming to school clean and presentable
Participating in Spirit Week
Getting to class quickly
Being mindful of people around you
Helping those in need
Dressing appropriately
Participating in group activities

Disrespecting the teachers
Constantly being tardy
Not doing your assignment that the teacher put hard work to make
