1. Home Alone
Home alone is a childhood favorite to many, it is a 1900’s American Christmas comedy film directed by Chris Columbus and written and produced by John Hughes. The main character is a little boy Kevin who is played by Macaulay Culkin who is accidently left home alone and his family leaves for vacation to Paris. He is left to defend his home from two robbers who are trying to break in, he uses his skills to make tricky traps to prevent the robbers from getting into his house.
2. The Grinch (2000) 
The Grinch is a 2000 American Christmas comedy film directed by Ron Howard, the movie is about a grouchy green recluse, the Grinch who lives on Mount Crumpet, who hates Christmas and the happy people in the town Whoville. In the movie the Grinch makes the plan to ruin Christmas, he disguises himself as Santa Claus and steals everyone’s Christmas presents, just as he is about to push the sleigh off the mountain the Grinch hears the town singing and realizes his planned has yet failed. The Grinch is filled with this compassion, and his heart grows three sizes and finds himself returning the gifts to Whoville.
3. Elf 
Elf is a film that was produced in 2003 directed by Jon Favreau and written by David Berenbaum. The movie is about a human who goes by the name Buddy the Elf who is raised by Santa’s elves, yet he sets out on a journey to New York to find his biological father once he discovers he isn’t actually an elf.
4. Polar Express
Polar express is a 2004 American animated Christmas fantasy film, based off the children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg published in 1985. The story follows a young boy who does not believe in Santa Clause till he sets away on his magical journey aboard the Polar Express to the North Pole, where he meets the great Santa Clause.
5. Christmas Vacation 
Christmas Vacation is a 1989 American Christmas comedy film directed by Jeremiah S. Chechik; the movie follows a family called the Griswold’s. The father makes efforts to have a good old- fashioned family Christmas with his family, they spend time together like when they drive out of the country just to find the perfect Christmas tree for their home.
