Thanksgiving, we all know it, we all love it, but lately it’s just starting to feel like Christmas just came early this year on the first of November right after Halloween. Christmas decorations are already put up on the shelves. Stores didn’t even give Thanksgiving they just went straight to the Christmas decorations.
But it’s not just stores that are just putting out Christmas decorations really early it’s also houses that are getting decorated for Christmas there is decorations for thanksgiving but even with that, store decorations for Thanksgiving are all full not even a small dent in it but for the Christmas decorations it’s all gone the moment it gets restocked onto the shelves people are like seagulls and immediately start filling their carts with Christmas themed everything.
Don’t get me wrong I love Christmas, but it gets a little irritating to see everything filled to the brim on Christmas stuff when Thanksgiving hasn’t even started yet.
We are still in November, people!!
It’s not December yet, at least be a little considerate to the Thanksgiving holiday. It’s not that hard to just wait until it gets into the winter season to put up the Christmas things, because at this point it just feels like Thanksgiving is just a pre-game of Christmas and that the two holidays are similar and that a lot of family come together to eat a big thing of food as if it’s a buffet.
The only thing keeping them separate is that Christmas has giving out gifts to the family and yes, it is family bonding for both of these holidays but people just like Christmas more because of the presents not because of the reason behind Christmas.
And why do we treat Thanksgiving as a pre-game of Christmas when we have Christmas Eve right before Christmas? There’s no reason why we should treat Thanksgiving any less than a holiday. We should at least give Thanksgiving a time to shine for its own month and not just drive over it with the biggest holiday of the year.
Thanksgiving is the only holiday that isn’t as noticed like the other holidays so we can at least pretend to give Thanksgiving its own time and holiday on its month and not try to make it the new Christmas Eve because we already have that.
