Anneliese Elisabeth Michel was born September 21, 1952, Liebling, Germany and passed July 1, 1976. Anneliese was a good behaved girl and grew up in a very strict Catholic household.

In 1968 at the age of sixteen, Anneliese suffered from severe epileptic seizure. There would be times she would pass out and her family would think it was because she was exhausted of all the studying she has done, but little did anyone know, it was just the start of nightmare that was to come. Anneliese would wake up with the feeling of someone or something holding her down, putting extreme weight on her chest making her urinate herself in bed praying for god to help her. Over then next few years she would be diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy and depression and was prescribed medication. By 1973 that is when the hallucinating started. She would hallucinate while praying and the voices would tell her that she was damned to hell. While her medication helped some with the problems she was experiencing- the medication was not going to save Anneliese from the demon possessing her mind and body. Anneliese and her health were heading for the worst in a rapid speed and nobody could stop it.

At this time period their was only some much someone could do, nobody believed in the paranormal and most people thought it was outrageous but Demons are not to joke about. Anneliese would soon become more and more aggressive- everything about her was changing and she even started to look like someone else, she would growl and even speak in languages that she was never taught. She was becoming violent with her family, such as her sister, throwing her across the room.

The once lovely girl Anneliese was, was shortly gone and took over by Evil demons. Her mother would walk in her daughter’s room seeing Anneliese stare at a crucifix with her eyes pure black. The nightmare was getting worse. Her family would go on to say the things Anneliese would do. Her family reported that they had witnessed her eating bugs and on one occasion she was seen trying to lick her urine on the floor where she decided to relive herself.

This all might sound like something out of a movie or a just a hoax but their are many things in the world that are unexplainable. There is a lot of unknown in this world that we yet have learned or discover. At the moment Anneliese’s mom decided that the was not a mental health issue but something much more and unexplainable. She knew that her daughter was possessed and her neurologist agreed that Anneliese needs to see a priest. Her mother then took her daughter to many priest but only got told that she needs to see a medical doctor. Until, she finally found two priests who gave her permission to have an exorcism. On Anneliese’ 22nd birthday she would have her first exorcism that would sadly become a total of 67 exorcisms that were recorded during the time. During the time of the exorcism’s she would not eat because she thought starving herself would weaken the demons. Sadly, Anneliese did not survive and died in her sleep on July 1, 1976 where she only weighed 66 pounds from the starvation.

While doctor’s were examining the body of Anneliese they determined that she passed away due to dehydration, malnutrition, and suffered from pneumonia. They also discovered that her kneecaps were broken due to her praying constantly. Her death was investigated as a criminal matter when they found that she could have survive if she was taken to the hospital a week before her death. Her parents and the two priests that performed the exorcism of Anneliese Michel, were charged with negligent homicide. The four argued that Anneliese gave them permission to perform the  exorcisms and claimed that she had the choice to say no at anytime, but they should have considered that she was mentally compromised and was not in the right state of mind to make any important choices. They also go one to say that the demons were exercised and that is the reason for her autopsy came back normal. They were found guilty and they were all sentenced to 3 years probation. The six demons that were claimed to posses the body of Anneliese were Lucifer himself, Cain, Judas Iscariot, Adolf Hitler, and Nero. They claimed that they announced them self during the exorcisms.
