Life is Strange is composed of 5 games. There is the first Life is Strange, released on January 30, 2015. The second one, meaning Life is Strange 2, was released on September 27, 2018. The other 3 games are: Before the Storm, True Colors, and Double Exposure. A quick rundown of Life is Strange for anyone who never heard of the game before, a character will have a power, and your choices matter.

Life is Strange

The first Life is Strange features two old best friends, Chloe and Max. Max discovers she has the ability to rewind time. She saves Chloe the first time, as this was her first time discovering this ability, and saves her again way more times later on. Arcadia Bay, which is where the game takes place, is undergoing weird and mysterious things, leaving a sense of uneasiness for the players.

People like Rachel, Chloe’s friend, went missing. Her and Max try to find out what happened. After finding out what happened, or so they thought, they were quite surprised to see who was really behind her disappearance. It was their teacher Mr. Jefferson. He would kidnap them and take pictures and let them go. Yet, he killed Chloe before taking Max. Max finds out and rewinds, yet time has went by so she can’t go all the way back in time. She looks at a picture and rewinds back into time from the picture, and so on.

A lot happens when she is kidnapped and traveling through time. It was a lot of work for me, but in the end was a cool moment. Nevertheless, Max saves her. That is if you chose to. See, I left out am important part, every time Max uses her power, bad things happen. At first it was just whales ending up dead on the shore, but now they were threatened with a Tornado. The player gets to pick, Save Arcadia Bay or Save Chloe. You see Chloe is never meant to live, she had died multiple times, the only reason she didn’t was because of Maxes power. The world was Crumbling for the small town of Arcadia Bay, and that’s exactly what happened. A tornado, strikes Arcadia Bay. However, that’s not a surprise. Max was having dreams of this for a while now. Safe to say, many people did died because I chose to sacrifice Arcadia Bay, what can I say, I’m just loyal. Plus, there isn’t any way I played this whole game, saving Chloe just to let her die in the end, anyways 10/10 game.

Life is Strange 2

I was a little sad to know that it is not the same characters, and in fact, I chose not to play it, just kidding! Actually, I wasn’t, but I just started playing 3/9/26. I finished the first episode and oh boy was I surprised. I really thought Sean was going to go to that party. I didn’t know that him and Daniel would be suffering right off the bat. Also, I was not expecting Daniel to be the one with the powers. His power differs from Maxes, his is telekinesis. Keep and mind that I am not done with the game. I think I am still on episode 2, I have been really busy. The game is quite good so far. I do feel bad for them, and I can’t wait for their story to progress. After I play more or beat the game, I will give and updated review.

True Colors, Double Exposure, and Before the Storm

I have never played any of these before, but I will be playing them after I finish Life is Strange 2.

True Colors- “The plot focuses on Alex Chen, a young woman who can experience the emotions of others, as she tries to solve the mystery behind a tragedy that happened in her life.” (Wikipedia), a trusty one.

Double Exposure- “when Max Caulfield finds her friend Safi dead in the snow, she tears open the way to a parallel timeline. Here, Safi is still alive – and still in danger!” (Steam). Max from the first game is back!

Before the Storm- “It serves as a prequel to the original game, focusing on 16-year-old Chloe Price and her relationship with schoolmate Rachel Amber.” (Wikipedia), again, trustworthy. This game does sound interesting, and we can finally see what happened to Rachel.

Life is Strange series is such a good game, everyone should play it. The first episodes on Life is Strange 1 and 2 are both free, from then on you have to pay. Remember, your choices have consequences.
