Rappers Drake and Travis Scott are facing multiple lawsuits for at least the deaths of eight people and hundreds injured at Travis’s festival “Astroworld”. During Scott’s set the crowd began pushing towards the front of the stage, Travis was encouraging them to push down the security barriers and get as close to the stage as possible. During the pushing and the commotion the eight victims were crushed to their deaths.
The lawsuits include that Travis and Drake were initiating the crowd to get hype and the producers of the concert, Live Nation did not provide adequate safety measures. Neither of the rappers or the producers have responded to these lawsuits but Scott said he is working to help the families of the victims.
