Sports:
Badminton: It is very much similar to Tennis but except they use shutters instead of a ball. It would be good team versus each other on the tennis court battles with Tennis. If you love Tennis, you should definitely try Badminton.
Lacrosse: Lacrosse is a game where you have sticks and to catch the ball to bring it to the other side kind of like football but with sticks to catch. It is another good field game to do if you love football or flag football.
Gymnastics: They should bring back gymnastics as a way to make people more flexible with their bodies and maybe a good training if they are in cheer. Its a fun way to move around and jump when you do tricks.
Fencing: It requires sword fighting. It consists of 3 primary disciples, Foil, Epee and Sabre, each with its own blade and set of rules. Fencing can help you build up your strength and fighting skills whenever you might need it.
Rugby: Rugby is when players advance an oval ball by running, passing (backwards only) and kicking to score by grounding the ball in the opponents goal area. It might sound a lot like soccer, but its the catching part that makes it different. Feel free to try it out if you’re into that kind of sport.
Extra curricular:
Dance: They should add a dance team. It would make school have more spirited and energetic movements that makes the crowd gets excited. Not to compete with cheer but maybe team up with them or make it a team spirit squad. Dance you get to express yourself and it should be able to let students have more freedom.
Asian Club, All Asian girls fan dance club or Culture Club: Since all the other schools have an Asian club why not one here at south. I wanted a club for all specific heritage or races that should get together and connect with one another. Not only that but an all girls fan dance club would be another great add on since in Vietnamese culture, it is a tradition dance that uses fans that symbolizes elegance and modesty among us young or coming of age Vietnamese girls and our culture. If there are any other cultures out there that want to express themselves and share with others, than a culture club would be it!
Robotics Club: If your a nerd, than you might like this one. Robotics is another idea that might get people who loves engineering or mechanics that can turn it into something they can build in their free time. It would be a fun way to expand your imagination and maybe can get into it!
Bands: If you love music and can play an instrument, well you should form a team then! Here at south, they should be able to form bands with your friends and as well compete against other teams! It should be a fun experience to watch the other teams play and show off they’re talent!
Rescue Animals Sanctuary (RAS): We should have a small area where we have animals to rescue from and as well feed and take care of them here at school. Students should be able to look after animals and even pet them whenever they have a hard time. We should also take them to shelters where they can get adopted by a owner where they are needed.
Debate and Speech Club: Another club you should consider if you love debating. You should freely express yourself by speaking on what’s right for you and your belief. As long as you keep it personal to yourself and in a respectful manner, you should be able to speak whenever you want.
