Ever heard of the story of eating someone under certain circumstances? Well, In October 13, 1972, there were 45 passengers on the plane, boarded towards Chile for their next game. Eventually, as the plane heads toward the Alps mountains, the plane suddenly hit a bit of the mountain with the tip of the plane and changed direction due to circumstances. When, they eventually changed route, it was getting harder to control the plane due to heavy weather and it led to the crash. Some were injured and some were dead. 16 out of the 45 passengers survived during the crash. The rugby team soon adjust to the situation and started to move the bodies and gathered their things from the plane to provide stability towards the cold and help themselves.

Around the mountains, there was no animals, water or even a source of food around. One of the guys grabbed their suitcases and block the entrance of the plane to prevent from the cold getting in. Eventually, the remaining passengers lived for over 2 months in the broken fuselage. Starvation was on the line and the team couldn’t think of any way to find food sources. One of the team members suggested eating the dead bodies. At first, everyone started saying it was a crazy idea. Then, eventually the team gave in the idea but except one person who refused to eat. He later gave in as there was no other option left. So, the team started eating the pilot since they blamed him for the crash. Then, gave in eating their teammates next. After, the incident, help eventually arrived and later was rescued. The team later faced backlash because they were eating their own teammates under that circumstance. Most people would not think eating people was normal, but norms changes under certain circumstances.
