Scream 7 is the most recent movie in the Scream franchise. This movie was released on February 27th, 2026, and is currently only available in theaters. As of now, the reviews for this movie are GARBAGE (rightfully so). It has a 1.5/5 rating on Rendy Reviews and only a 31% on Rotten Tomatoes.
This movie brings back people from the previous movies, such as Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott/Evans, Courtney Cox as Gale Weathers, and Matthew Lillard as an A.I version of Stu Macher. In this movie, a new Ghostface killer appears in the town where Sidney Evans has finally built a new
life away from all the killings. This new Ghostface goes after Sidney’s daughter, Tatum Evans, and calls Sidney using FaceTime, which the killer uses A.I to make her believe that Stu Macher has come back to life and began killing people again.
My expectations for this movie were so high since I saw they were bringing back Neve Campbell. I did very much enjoy the movie before it got to the final reveal of the Ghostface’s since it did have a great plot, and some of the killings were very interesting. The killers were somewhat shocking in a way, but overall their motive was just weak. Though I wasn’t expecting them to bring back Stu Macher, the movie would have been 100% better with him.
