Seniors Get Ready for a Busy and Emotional End to the Year
March 29, 2026
As graduation gets closer, seniors are officially entering the final stretch of high school, and the next few weeks are packed with big events, fun traditions, and some important responsibilities too.
Everything really starts with prom on April 11 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. This is one of the most anticipated nights of the year, and students will need to bring an ID to get in. It is expected to be a night full of music, photos, and memories with friends before everyone starts going their separate ways.
On April 20, seniors will attend their last Titan Time Senior Assembly. For many students, this is one of those moments where it starts to feel real that high school is almost over. Not long after that, April 29 will be a big day with the Senior Celebration at 6:00 p.m. at South. Later that evening, students will gather again for Senior Sunset. If the weather cooperates, there will be a group picture taken right at 8:19 p.m., which will definitely be one of those moments people look back on.
Even with all the fun, there are still things that seniors have to get done. The Senior Survey is due by May 1, and it is required in order to graduate. Then comes senior checkout on May 11 and 12, which must be fully completed by May 14.
Finals are scheduled for May 13 and 14, and most of them are expected to be on paper. May 14 is also the last official day of school for seniors, although it will still be a full day ending at 3:10. The next morning, May 15, seniors will take part in the Senior Breakfast and Clap Out from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., where underclassmen and staff will cheer them on as they leave.
Finally, on May 21, seniors will attend graduation practice in the morning and return later that evening for the graduation ceremony. Students should arrive at 5:30 p.m. to check in before everything begins.
With so much happening in such a short time, seniors are trying to enjoy every moment while also staying on top of everything they need to finish. It is a mix of excitement, stress, and a little bit of sadness as this chapter comes to an end.
