Bridgerton is a romance series on Netflix which was based off of Julia Quinn’s novels. In this series, there are 8 children in the Bridgerton family who are expected to find a love match to marry. Right now, there are only 4 seasons, but season 5 is already in the making.

In season 3, Francesca Bridgerton is one of the children looking for someone to marry. She is very quiet and introverted compared to her siblings. She is also very intelligent and enjoys playing piano. In season 3, she decides it is time for her to marry someone. After searching and searching, she finally finds someone, and his name is John Stirling.

In season 4, John Stirling sadly passes away. Before he passed away, his cousin, Michaela Stirling comes to visit them. In the books, Michaela is actually a guy named Michael Stirling, which people thought was no problem until the season 5 trailer came out. Both Michaela and Francesca got very close before John died, and stayed close after he passed, but since they were so close, they both started developing feelings for one another.

In the season 5 trailer, you can see that the main couple for this season is Michaela and Francesca. On one hand, many people, like me, are excited for this season because it is the shows first, and most likely only, lesbian storyline, while on the other hand, people think the gender swap is forced and it doesn’t fit the shows storyline. Though, If I am being honest, I don’t care about the gender swap. I like the idea of the 5th season, and I can’t wait for it to come out.
